Q. Is the rear vision camera system
waterproof? A. Yes, the camera is
waterproof.
Q. Does the system work in the dark? A.
Yes, our cameras have a .05 lux that allows it to see the light from
the taillights, brake light and backup lights.
Q. Does the system have a warranty? A. Yes
the system has a 1-year warranty from the
manufacturer.
Q. What is the field of view? A. The
camera has a 130 degree field of view and the camera mounted on a
vertical surface at 40" will see 20 to 25 feet. The higher the
camera is mounted, the farther it will see.
Q. Do I have to drill a hole in my
vehicle? A. Yes, this is critical to how are
system works. Drilling the hole allows us to mount the camera
on an angle, which gives you depth perception, and the lowest
profile of any camera on the market.
Q. Can I put a camera on my motor home or
trailer? Yes, we have extension wires so you can place
cameras in a variety of locations. All of our wires are
shielded so you don't lose the quality of
picture.
Q. What type of vehicle can I put the system
on? A. All types of trucks, SUV's, Fire trucks,
Ambulances, Box Trucks, Delivery Vans, cars, motor homes, trailers,
dump trucks, heavy equipment, horse trailers (inside and out),
and almost any application that you may think of.
Q. Where do I mount the
monitor? A. Typically the monitor is mounted in
the overhead console or in the headliner between the visors.
Or where ever is most convenient. Our monitor closes to a 7/8"
profile, which gives the driver an unobstructed view and many
options for mounting. We also have a new 5.6" and 7" color
monitor available.
